# Installing IPMItool

## Install, of course

```
apt-get install ipmitool
```

which will, among other things, produce

```

## Enable IPMI

```
modprobe ipmi_devintf
modprobe ipmi_si
```

## Configure IPMI Using ipmitool

Addresses and passwords have been changed to protect the guilty.

You can flash the locator light on a server with

ipmitool raw 0x30 0x0d

# disable
ipmitool raw 0x30 0x0e
